Our Process
Call or email and our friendly staff will discuss your requirements and any questions you may have about the services we offer.
Send over plans, photos and any fabric specifications or fabric performance requirements you have. We can help advise if you are not sure what is best for your project. We will arrange a visit in person if appropriate at this stage.
We can provide an estimate from plans or approximate dimensions of windows without an in person visit. (Note prices are not final until one of our fitters has completed a final survey).
We will send out send out any samples of fabric or hardware required free of charge.
If you decide to use our services, a deposit invoice will be taken, which will enable us to arrange a final site survey, from which we will produce the final making orders, and establish final fabric quantities required.
We can supply any curtain fabric or blind fabric as we have trade accounts with most major fabric and blind manufacturers. If you have a more obscure designer fabric in mind, we are able to open trade accounts at short notice due to our reputation in the industry.
We accept client/designer supplied fabric, we will let you know what amount you need to order based on the fitters measurements, and any recommended excess required to suite efficient manufacture.
Once manufactured goods are ready we will either courier them direct to site ready for installation, or if more appropriate the fitter will bring them on the day. The type of carriage used will depend on the size of the order. If very long delicate items are included in the order we recommend door to door delivery by a specialist carrier. We will arrange all carriage.
Fitting will be carried out and curtains and blinds dressed in. Curtains will be tied up and we recommend keeping them tied up for 2-3 days minimum so that the fabric can settle and drop/relax into its dressed form.
Steaming: We generally recommend avoiding the use of steamers as the heat can permanently change the structure of the fabric. Most creases drop out over a few days sometimes weeks depending on the fabric composition. We understand with show properties that an instant finished look may be required, we will always check with the fabric manufacturer if streaming is requested so the client is aware of any potential consequences. We recommend interior designers and architects check the fabric suitability for steaming when specifying if it is part of a mandatory finish.
